Cookie policy
This policy describes what cookies this website uses, for what purpose and how the user can manage or disable them. It is drawn up in compliance with article 22.2 of Spanish Act 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI-CE) and the Guide on the use of cookies published by the Spanish Data Protection Agency in July 2023.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks the user’s browser to store on their device. Cookies allow the site to remember information between pages or visits, such as language preference or login status, improve the user experience or measure visitor behaviour.
Types of cookies
By purpose
- Technical
- Necessary for the site to function (session identification, cart management, storage of user-selected preferences). Exempt from the consent requirement.
- Preference / personalisation
- Remember information to personalise the experience (language, region, typography, contrast). When the user makes the choice expressly, they are exempt; otherwise, consent is required.
- Analytics / measurement
- Allow analysis of aggregated visitor behaviour. Require prior user consent, except for the exceptions recognised by the Spanish DPA.
- Behavioural advertising
- Allow display and management of ads based on the user’s profile. Require prior consent.
- Social
- Enable social media features. Require prior consent.
By duration
- Session
- Expire when the browser closes.
- Persistent
- Remain stored for the period defined by the controller.
By ownership
- First-party
- Managed by the site publisher.
- Third-party
- Managed by an entity other than the publisher.
How to manage or disable cookies
Users can allow, block or delete cookies installed on their device through their browser settings. The official help pages of the most common browsers are listed below:
- Google Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Mozilla Firefox: support.mozilla.org → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Safari (macOS / iOS): support.apple.com → Safari → Privacy
- Microsoft Edge: support.microsoft.com → Microsoft Edge → Cookies
- Brave: support.brave.com → Privacy and security
- Opera: help.opera.com → Privacy and security
Consequences of disabling cookies
Since the site only uses a language preference cookie, disabling or deleting it does not prevent access to the content or functionality. The only consequence is that, on each new visit, the site will detect the language from the browser language preferences instead of respecting the user’s previous manual selection.
